John P. Gallagher has been involved in the trade show and exhibition industry for over 20 years. He has produced trade shows in the USA and around the globe, including International Food Ingredients and Additives Exhibition and Conference in Tokyo Japan Agro Expo China in Beijing and AFB and AFF for National Association of States Departments of Agriculture.
Previously, as Group Vice President, Events for Naylor Association Solutions, he led Naylor Association Solutions Event Management Division helping associations drive non-dues revenue, overseeing the sales of exhibition space, sponsorships and memberships for 22 trade shows working with 14 associations encompassing over 1.5 million nsf and over $45 million dollars of gross revenue. Managing relationships and total turnkey management for major exhibitions drawing over 100,000 attendees in total. Additionally, oversaw the Global Exchange Series of hosted buyer events.
As President & CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America, John oversaw the US subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt, one of the leading trade show organizers in the world. The US subsidiary produced events in the USA, Mexico and Canada in the textile, apparel sourcing, environment and auto parts and accessories industries. Additionally, John oversaw sales to US companies into the Messe Frankfurt events in Germany and around the world.
Prior, John was Senior Vice President with E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc. and headed up the Industrial and Commercial Divisions of EJK, consisting of wholly owned EJK events, joint ventures, and association management events. John had Profit & Loss oversight of the Industrial and Commercial Division events as well as new business development responsibilities.
John was born and raised in the Maryland suburbs and graduated from the University of Maryland. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife, and has two children and a yellow lab, Maggie, which is the apple of their eyes.
